NHS bans c-sections…

… unless the mother’s life is at risk by delivering naturally.

A number of NHS trusts have now banned women from having c-sections unless their life is in danger, as unnecessary c-sections “waste millions of pounds of NHS money each year”.

Trusts affected so far include: Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Herefordshire, Bristol, South Staffordshire, County Durham, Dorset, Derbyshire, and Bournemouth and Poole.

    This is EXCELLENT, a woman being able to elect to have major abdominal surgery, that could potential endanger her life, the baby’s life, future pregnancies and possibly fertility even! Absolutely ridiculous, and any provider who’s willing to do it should be reported to the medical board and the ethics committee (if applicable!!!!!!) And no, I am not some so-called “Natural Birth Freak,” I am a 3-time Cesarean mom and NOT by choice!!
